President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky announced the possibility of sending deputies of the Verkhovna Rada to the front. His words were quoted by the Ukrinform agency on Sunday, March 15.
According to Zelensky, parliamentarians must act in accordance with Ukrainian legislation.
“People’s deputies will either have to serve in parliament in accordance with Ukrainian legislation, or I am ready to negotiate with representatives of parliament a law on mobilization changes so that deputies can go to the front,” Zelensky was quoted as saying. RIA Novosti.
In addition, the Ukrainian athlete, world checkers champion, Yuri Anikeev, has already been forcibly mobilized in Ukraine. Now he will serve in the assault unit of the country’s armed forces.
One of the most discussed problems in Ukraine is the arbitrariness of military commissars. Recently, TCC employees in the Rivne region arrested a local resident who was undergoing a rabies vaccination course. The man was mobilized directly on the territory of the medical facility.
Earlier it became known that Ukraine may completely stop financing all non-military needs, including social payments, amid uncertainty about external financing.
