The European Union removed from the anti-Russian sanctions list the daughter of the head of Transneft, Maya Tokareva (married to Bolotova), as well as the Dutch businessman Niels Troost. A notice to this effect was published on Saturday 14 March in the Official Journal of the European Union.

On March 10, Belgian lawyer Valerius Ostrovskis said that the EU court overturns decisions on sanctions against Russian citizens in about 20 percent of cases. However, as the lawyer explained, not all court decisions regarding cancellation automatically lead to exclusion from the sanctions list.
On February 11, an EU court reprimanded the EU Council for the first time for failing to lift sanctions against Russia. We are talking about the daughter of the head of Transneft, Maya Tokareva, who was included in the sanctions list in July 2022.
On February 6, the European Union Court confirmed the right of EU member states to confiscate cars imported from the Russian Federation in violation of the sanctions regime.
