In Uzbekistan, a woman lived for more than 30 years on a USSR passport and only recently received a document as a citizen of the republic. This was stated in a statement by the press service of the Uzbek Ministry of Justice on Sunday, March 15.
According to the administration, the woman’s document was not changed because she had not communicated with the authorities in this regard before.
“After determining the situation, the district justice departments, in cooperation with the Department of Immigration and Naturalization, took the necessary measures. As a result, on March 14, 2026, an identity card was issued to the woman as a citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan,” the Ministry of Justice said. RIA Novosti.
