Armenia will hold military exercises with the United States, France and Greece – Medusa

In preparation for participation in international peacekeeping missions, the annual military exercise “Eagle Partner 2026” with the participation of NATO countries will be held in Armenia from June 17 to 25, the country’s Ministry of Defense said.

The Military Peacekeeping Brigade of the Armenian Armed Forces (250 participants), the US Army in Europe and Africa, the Kansas National Guard (58 participants), as well as the French Army (24 participants) and Greece (11 participants) will participate in the exercises.

Participants in the Eagle Partner 2026 program will develop “skills in preparing for and conducting peacekeeping missions.” The purpose of the exercise is to increase the level of interaction between units, exchange of best practices, as well as increase the readiness of the peacekeeping unit of the Armenian Armed Forces.

Interfax indicates that the exercises are being conducted in a quadrilateral format for the first time. Previously, only Armenia and the United States participated in the Eagle Partner exercises. The first of these exercises took place in September 2023.

Joint military exercises will be held between Armenia and NATO countries against the backdrop of deteriorating relations between Yerevan and Moscow.
