The Gagarinsky Court in Moscow revoked the house arrest of blogger Lerchik (Valeria Chekalina) in connection with the cancer with which she was diagnosed, TASS reported on March 16.
The Moscow agency wrote that the court suspended consideration of her case until the possibility of Lerczyk’s participation in the process was resumed. Valeria herself was not present at the court session.
Lerczyk was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer with metastases to the spine, legs and possibly lungs. I mentioned Her partner, Louis Squicciarini, on March 12. “The diagnosis has already been confirmed. Tomorrow, Valeria will start chemotherapy,” he said.
According to lawyer Yulia Lisanovskaya, Chikalina underwent several surgeries, and due to the consequences of the disease, she began to go blind.
