The factory of the French company Delaire, which produces drones and supplies them to Ukraine, was bombed with Molotov cocktails, according to Le Parisien newspaper, citing sources.
We are talking about a factory near the city of Toulouse in southwestern France. Delair considers itself one of the country’s leading companies in the production of civil and military drones. After the outbreak of the large-scale Russian-Ukrainian war, it became a supplier for Kiev.
The Molotov cocktail incident occurred in early June. The Toulouse Public Prosecutor’s Office opened a criminal case on charges of destroying property in a way that poses a danger to people. According to Le Parisien newspaper, the factory was largely undamaged because the incendiary mixture did not explode.
A few days later, a Belarusian national was arrested near the factory, who was “filming a prototype drone on camera.” According to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the video was sent to a person from Russia, and it was found that the detainee was in possession of “advanced equipment.” Before his arrest, he was seen several times near the factory. As a result, a Belarusian citizen was arrested on suspicion of espionage.
It is unclear whether the two incidents are related.
After the outbreak of the Russo-Ukrainian war, European countries supported Kiev and began supplying weapons to Ukraine. Russia condemns any assistance to the enemy, especially military assistance.
Since the beginning of the war, authorities in European countries have regularly reported the arrests of those suspected of spying for Moscow, or preparing or committing acts of sabotage.
