In the new academic year, schoolchildren will have 29 days off, and will have to study for 170 days, according to the recommendations of the Ministry of Education.
In the 2026-27 academic year, the duration of education for students in grades 2 to 11 will be 170 days, for students in first grade, taking into account additional vacations – 165 days. The total number of vacation days during the year for grades 2 to 11 will be 29 days, including summer – 126 days. For first graders who have additional vacations – 36 days.
Education Minister Sergei Kravtsov had previously indicated that the fall, winter and spring holidays should be at least nine days for children to fully recover. The department’s recommendations are advisory in nature, and the final schedule is determined by schools and reports TASS.
