In Russia, the demand for additives to improve the properties of gasoline began to grow. Representatives of stores and manufacturers told Izvestia about this on Friday, July 10.
The sales are linked to the authorities’ decision to allow oil companies to produce Euro-3 fuel and the possible return of Euro-2 gasoline.
In the Avtomag store, sales of additives have recently increased by 30 percent, and in the Avtodok online store by 10 percent. The B2B sector also reports an increase in orders for octane-boosting ingredients.
“In recent weeks, we have already noticed an increase in the number of orders for octane-boosting components in gasoline. This is due to the fact that market participants are closely monitoring changes in regulatory requirements and are considering different options for the fuel compound in advance,” said Yaroslav Makarkin, Deputy General Director of Fuel Region Company LLC.
The report stated that car service centers expect increased demand for their services, believing that the use of low-quality fuel will affect engines. message.
The Russian government allowed gasoline meeting Euro-3 standards to be in circulation until the end of 2026. How does this fuel differ and how can its use affect the car, said automotive expert Igor Murzaretto in a conversation with Vechernaya Moskva.
