Ramos’ father opposed his daughter’s decision and, with the support of Christian Advocates, filed a series of legal appeals to stop the action. This sparked a long series of lawsuits, spanning nearly two years. But in February this year, the Constitutional Court rejected the father’s appeal, ruling that there had been no violation of fundamental rights.
