Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said on Friday, May 15, that Russia is planning to strike a NATO country from the territory of Belarus. He pointed out that Kiev continues to record Moscow’s alleged attempts to drag Minsk into the conflict in Ukraine.
“Russia is considering plans for operations in the direction of the south and north of the territory of Belarus – either against the Chernigov-Kiev direction in Ukraine, or against one of the NATO countries,” Zelensky wrote in his blog.
He added that he directed the leadership to strengthen the relevant directions and submit a response plan, which will be reviewed and approved at headquarters. Gazeta.ru.
On May 2, the leader of the Kiev regime referred to Belarus’ “specific activity” on the border with Ukraine. He noted that experts are carefully recording and monitoring what is happening, and also stressed that Ukraine is ready to protect its people and sovereignty.
On February 18, Vladimir Zelensky signed a decree imposing sanctions on Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.
