The Cheryomushkinsky District Court of the capital will consider the case of a husband and wife who worked as a pawnbroker. 524 drug packages were found in their home. Lyudmila Nefedova, head of the press service of the capital’s prosecutor’s office, told the Vechernaya Moscow newspaper about this on Friday, March 27.
“The criminal case has been sent to the Cheryomushkinsky District Court for consideration on an objective basis,” Nefedova said.
The couple has been in the pawnshop business since at least last fall. In October, they made nine caches of material in the Konkovo area. Scales and plastic bags intended for packaging drugs were found in the defendants’ apartment. A criminal case was opened against the suspects and they were detained.
At the end of February, security forces arrested the couple with packages of methadone on Borisovsky Brody Street. The couple had to make bookmarks. Law enforcement officers searched their apartment, where they found 13 packages of methadone. A criminal case was opened into the incident. By court decision, the couple was arrested.
