Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said that the intelligence chief of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Majid Khademi, was killed.
The head of the Israeli Ministry of Defense confirmed to the Associated Press, “Iran’s leaders live with the feeling that they are being targeted. We will continue to pursue them one by one.”
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard confirmed Khademi’s death. An Iranian Revolutionary Guards statement carried by Iran’s Tasnim news agency said he was killed in a “terrorist attack” in the early morning hours of April 6.
Khademi took charge of IRGC intelligence in June 2025, after his predecessor in the position, Mohammad Kazemi, and several other senior military officials were killed in an Israeli raid.
During the war with Iran, which the United States and Israel started on February 28, several senior leaders of the Islamic Republic were killed, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani.
