Blogger Victoria Bonya posted an appeal on Instagram “on behalf of the people” to Russian President Vladimir Putin. In an 18-minute speech, Punia specifically said:
Vladimir Vladimirovich, they are afraid of you. People are afraid of you, bloggers are afraid of you, artists are afraid of you, judges are afraid of you. And you are the president of our country. I think we shouldn’t be afraid.
Bonya herself, according to her, is not afraid of Putin, because she lives “after her heart.” The blogger said she considers Putin a strong politician, but he “doesn’t know much.” She listed five pressing issues that “no ruler will talk about”:
- Flood in Dagestan, during the first days people did not receive any help;
- Pollution of beaches and sea in Anapa with fuel oil, which has not yet been completely eliminated;
- Rules allowing the killing of animals listed in the Red Book;
- Confiscation and destruction of livestock in the Novosibirsk region;
- Internet blocking.

Bonya also pointed to other problems Russians face, including sharp price hikes and difficulties in running a small business. “People are screaming now. The last thing has been taken from them and is still being taken from them. Business is dying,” she said. “People are searching on Google for how to leave Russia. It is one of the most popular requests now,” Bonya confirmed.
Bonya once again tried to draw attention to the trial of Valeria (blogger Lerchik) and Artem Chekalin, and also complained about the statements of United Russia State Duma deputy Vitaly Milonov, whom she called a “disgusting personality” who insulted women.
The blogger called on Putin to create, for example, in Max Messenger, “a kind of platform where people write to you directly about what is happening to them, and write directly about their problems.” “We need to see what people think today. This is very important,” the blogger said. She said: “I hope that this message will allow us to communicate and resolve all these issues. Because power serves the people. But not the other way around.”
Bonnie’s video message in 13 hours (you can watch it in full here) It received more than 500 thousand likes.
Victoria Bonya, who lives abroad, has repeatedly registered appeals related to high-profile events. For example, she commented on Instagram about the dispute over Larisa Dolina’s apartment, talked about the confiscation of livestock in the Novosibirsk region, and also called for the release of Artem Shikalin, who was sentenced on April 13 to 7 years in prison.
