According to the new rules, during the period of parental leave, the parent will be able to retain the right to benefits if he or she works at that time for another employer. This gives more freedom to combine maternity leave with part-time work in other organizations without the risk of losing insurance coverage. In addition, self-employed workers will now be able to obtain a certificate of inability to work, the statement said. material.

State Duma Deputy of the Russian Federation Vladimir Plyakin called on the Ministry of Labor to provide up to seven days of paid leave for fathers. According to him, parents are acutely faced with so-called minor crises: the child’s adaptation to kindergarten or school, routine examinations by specialists, seasonal diseases that do not require hospitalization. Now, to resolve such situations, parents have only two options – take unpaid leave or sign up for sick leave.
