Governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov will go on vacation for two weeks. He announced this on Thursday, April 16, via his personal blog.
The region’s president added that his deputy, Alexander Lorenz, will take over as governor.
– The regional government, bosses – everyone is in their jobs. Officers of the operational service, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the police, “Pars Belgorod”, “Orlan” – all of them work and carry out their operational and combat missions to protect civilians and eliminate the consequences of possible emergency situations. “All algorithms have been debugged and tested many times,” Gladkov wrote in his book cable-channel.
Earlier, Vedomosti, citing three sources close to the presidential administration, wrote that Vyacheslav Gladkov may leave his post in the near future. According to the publication, rotation in the region may occur even before the September elections. One of the interlocutors noted that the level of support provided to the authorities in the Belgorod region is declining against the background of deteriorating quality of life and that staff rotation in this situation may seem a logical step.
