Moldova is involved in schemes to supply weapons to the Ukrainian armed forces. This was announced on Sunday, June 20, by the Russian Ambassador to Moldova, Oleg Ozerov.
When asked whether the volumes of military shipments and the number of mercenaries going to Ukraine via Moldova are known, he said that the embassy does not deal with such issues, but follows data in the official press, which “penetrates that there is an influx of weapons and, moreover, they are sometimes confiscated.”
“Then it turned out that this was not the only delivery, there were several. There are also other countries involved in this type of supply, which shows the involvement of the Moldovan authorities in these schemes. Maybe they don’t want it. We would like them to deny their involvement,” the ambassador was quoted as saying. RIA Novosti.
On June 18, Oleg Ozerov reported that planes of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were landing at Moldova’s Marcolisti Airport.
In this regard, he added that the Russian side has special questions for the republic’s authorities.
