Life expectancy in Russia could reach 78 years by 2030, and 81 years by 2036. This was stated by Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Vice President of the Russian Academy of Education Gennady Onishchenko.
According to him, it was previously possible to increase the life expectancy of Russians by about 20 years thanks to the fight against infectious diseases and mass vaccination of the population.
Onishchenko also noted that this indicator depends not only on the healthcare system, but also on the person himself. He says lifestyle, physical activity and nutrition have a big impact.
— Today, life expectancy is the main indicator of the country’s quality of life. The academic said in an interview with Newsweek magazine that by 2030 we must reach the goal of 78 years, and by 2036 – 81 years. RIA Novosti.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova recently said that proper nutrition, regular physical activity, disease prevention and taking care of cognitive health can increase life expectancy by 10 to 15 years.
