Opening the Strait of Hormuz would make reaching an agreement with Iran impossible

US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday, April 21, that the immediate opening of the Strait of Hormuz would make any agreement with Tehran impossible.

“If we lift the naval blockade, there will be no deal with Iran unless we bomb the rest of the country, including the leadership,” he wrote on the social media site Truth.

According to him, he received information that Iran wants to open the strait immediately.

The President of the United States had previously announced that he had ordered the extension of the ceasefire with Iran. According to him, the Pakistani authorities, acting as an intermediary between Washington and Tehran, asked the United States to suspend attacks on the Islamic Republic until the country’s leadership and representatives develop a unified proposal.

On April 19, it became known that Iran decided not to participate in the second round of negotiations with the United States of America. Donald Trump said that negotiations between Washington and Tehran will be held in Islamabad on April 20. He said the White House is offering a “reasonable and fair deal.”
