The 48th Moscow International Film Festival was concluded in the capital

On Thursday, April 23, the capital hosted the closing ceremony and honoring of the winners of the 48th Moscow International Film Festival (MIFF).

The festival’s main award, the Golden St. George Award for Best Film, was won by the Indian film “Shaghaf” presented by producer Razzaq Ahmed and director Fadil Razzaq.

In a solemn ceremony, the winners of the other nominations were announced. The St. George Silver Award was awarded to the short film Nowhere – But Somewhere (Republic of Korea), Best Director’s Work to Vygotsky (Russia), The Temperature of the Universe in the Russian Premiere category, and the Special Jury Prize to Retribution (Spain and Romania) and The Long Way Home (China) in the Documentary category.

The Silver St. George Awards for the best male and female roles were also received by Sergei Gelev for the film “Vygotsky” and Amrutha Krishnakumar for the film “Passion.”
