The former head of the Federal Security Service of Ingushetia Belkhoroev was sentenced to 10 years in prison

The former head of the Social Insurance Fund (FSS) of the Republic of Ingushetia, Yakub Belkhoroev, accused of embezzling nearly 14 million rubles of budget funds, was sentenced by the Presnensky Court of Moscow to 10 years in prison in a general order colony. The meeting was on Friday, April 24th.

The judge said: “Convicting Yakub Belkhoroev and imposing a 10-year prison sentence to be served in a public order colony, as well as banning him from holding positions in the civil service and local government for a period of three years.”

Belkhoroeva’s bond to leave the scene was revoked and she was detained in court. The rest of the accomplices in the crime were reportedly given three-year suspended prison sentences TASS.

Earlier, the Interior Ministry completed a criminal investigation against the co-owners of TGK-14, which supplies heat and electricity to Buryatia and Transbaikalia. Among the accused are former deputy governor of Primorye Viktor Myasnik and businessman Konstantin Lyulchev. They are accused of embezzling and laundering 4.4 billion rubles from the institution.
