In the southern part of Russia, 13 airports stopped working after a drone hit the administrative building of the branch of the Southern Russian Aeronautics Company, the Ministry of Transport said.
Takeoffs and landings were halted in Sochi, Volgograd, Krasnodar, Grozny, Astrakhan, Vladikavkaz, Gelendzhik, Makhachkala, Magas, Mineralnye Vody, Nalchik, Stavropol and Elista.
The Ministry of Transport promised to make a decision on the timing of the resumption of flights “in the near future.” The administration also instructed airlines, along with Russian Railways, to use trains and buses to transport passengers on canceled flights.
