Moscow’s electronics industry forms the technological basis of many critical infrastructure. The mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, spoke about this on Tuesday, May 12.
One of the first residents of the Lomonosov Group was Microwave Electronics, which produces measurement and communications equipment: vector generators, signal analyzers, antenna systems used in television broadcasting, satellite navigation, urban transport, robotics and emergency services.
InnoCenter VAO has created a platform for assembling radio electronic devices from off-the-shelf microwave chips and blocks, speeding up the assembly process by five to ten times. The platform is used in education and industry.
T8 STC develops high-speed DWDM communication systems. Their developments were used in the construction of a main communication line with a length of more than 16.7 thousand kilometers between St. Petersburg and Ulan-Ude.
“A significant contribution to the development of this industry is made by companies – participants of the Moscow Innovation Cluster (MIC) and residents of the Lomonosov Group at the Sparrow Hills Innovation Center for Science and Technology of Moscow State University,” the city mayor wrote in his personal blog on Top.
In mid-April, Sergei Sobyanin announced that the first 10 residents had been identified for the second phase of the Skolkovo Creative Cluster in the capital. They will develop unique local solutions for content creation, processing and distribution, and will also participate in virtual content production that links a physical camera with computer graphics.
