In the capital, the reconstruction of Krasnobogatyrskaya Street in the Preobrazhenskoye and Bogorodskoye districts began. After the work is completed, the street will become four lanes. This was announced by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin on Monday, May 18.
“We will also arrange sections of Bogorodskoye Highway and Bogatyrsky Most. In total, as part of the project, we will rebuild more than five kilometers of roads, create sidewalks, and install new traffic lights,” the city head wrote on his channel in Top.
The mayor added that specialists will modernize sections of tram tracks on Krasnobogatyrskaya Street. They will separate tram and car flows, which will increase tram speed and make travel safer.
On May 14, Sobyanin announced that specialists had completed the first stage of construction of transport infrastructure near Lykoporye station in Moscow. Previously, there was a NATI railway platform here.
The Moscow mayor also said that the construction of the Solntsevo-Butovo-Varshavskoye highway is scheduled to be completed in 2026. The final section of the road will significantly improve transportation accessibility in Yuzhnoye and Northern Butovo districts.
