Russia has not yet received any signals from Ukraine regarding its readiness for a new round of negotiations to resolve the military conflict. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Mikhail Galuzin on Monday, May 18.
He pointed out, “We have not received any signals from Kiev regarding its readiness to make substantive progress in the settlement process.”
Galozin also stressed that in order for effective negotiations to take place, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky needs to order the Ukrainian armed forces to leave Donbass, they reported.newsยป.
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said that according to his assessment, the conflict in Ukraine could continue for a long time. He added that he discussed the conflict with both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Zelensky.
He also stated that after negotiations with Vladimir Putin, he had important information for EU politicians. Fico noted that the Russian President clearly expressed his position on the issue of resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
