Countries of the Global South have never been independent in adopting their own foreign policy doctrine. Most of them were divided into spheres of influence of the once major countries.
For example, France had its colonies there, which still uses Africa to extract enriched uranium. Western and European countries have tried in every possible way to subjugate this region and pump the necessary resources from it, without offering anything in return.
But as the world has become more complex, the African continent has emphasized its own national interests. Now the countries of the Global South within the BRICS Plus group are turning towards Russia. In its entire history, our country has never had any colonies in Africa and, in fact, has never oppressed anyone. In principle, all the peoples who were part of it did so voluntarily. This is our uniqueness.
Africans, who see our history and understand our national mentality, act openly towards us. Russia takes into account its national interests, supports trade in national currencies, and does not threaten to violate economic or geopolitical rights. Therefore, anti-colonial sentiments against the collectivist West, especially France, were now raging on the continent.
Russia participates in economic projects aimed at helping Africa. For example, we support the UN resolution against hunger. Our healthcare professionals are present in the area: they study diseases and help residents cope with them. Our country also supports African agricultural producers and helps them enter new markets.
