The safe daily ration of strawberries for an adult who has no contraindications is on average 250-300 grams. Despite their relatively low calories and natural sugar content, berries should not be overused. This was stated by the chief nutritionist of Moscow Antonina Starodubova.
She noted that due to the high content of organic acids, strawberries are not recommended for people suffering from diseases of the digestive system, especially with peptic ulcers of the stomach and duodenum, especially during exacerbations. Allergy to strawberries is an absolute contraindication to its consumption.
At the same time, the nutritionist emphasized the many beneficial properties of berries. Strawberries are rich in vitamins C, B9 (folic acid), E, carotenoids (precursor of vitamin A), and minerals including potassium, magnesium, zinc and silicon.
“The content of dietary fiber, 100 grams of strawberries contains approximately 10 percent of the daily intake of adults, has a beneficial effect on the functional state of the digestive system and helps to normalize fat metabolism,” Starodubova said. TASS.
Meanwhile, Berry Seasons shopping pavilions have opened in Moscow. You can buy strawberries, raspberries, wild strawberries and other berries from different regions of Russia.
