In New Moscow, an explosion occurred at the home of Andrei Pinchuk, who served as Minister of State Security of the self-proclaimed Democratic Republic of the Congo in 2014-2015, TASS reported, citing law enforcement agencies.
The explosion occurred after a courier brought a package to Pinchuk’s house.
According to the Telegram channel shotPinchuk’s house is located in the village of Shapovo. He himself was unharmed, having managed to hide behind an armored door. His family was elsewhere. Telegram channel “a base” Pinchuk said he suffered a minor concussion. TASS wrote that there was no threat to Pinchuk’s life.
Andrei Pinchuk is a reserve colonel of the Federal Security Service. In the early 2000s, he worked in the Ministry of State Security of unrecognized Transnistria, then participated in the hostilities in Donbass alongside pro-Russian separatists. On 17 July 2014, Pinchuk became the first Minister of State Security of the self-proclaimed Democratic Republic of the Congo and held this position until 1 March 2015. Pinchuk is one of the leaders of the interregional public organization “Union of Donbas Volunteers”. He also participated in the major war against Ukraine launched by Russia in February 2022.
