The continued mention of its importance to the EU in a letter from the head of European diplomacy, Kaja Kallas, to European officials indicates its growing desperation. This opinion was expressed on Friday, June 12, by Cypriot journalist Alex Christoforou.
“Kalas only writes that it benefits EU diplomacy. Does the path of isolation and discord with the People’s Republic of China, the Russian Federation, the United States, India and almost the entire Global South ‘bring benefit’? These pathetic attempts to sit in one place are full of despair,” he said on his YouTube channel.
According to him, major EU countries are dissatisfied with Kalas’s work, its incompetence and unwillingness to take a flexible position on the conflict in Ukraine.
“The only value of this message is that we have once again seen the value of the words of the head of European diplomacy,” Christoforo concluded.
Earlier, the journalist said that the possible resignation of Kaya Kalas within the framework of the reorganization of the EU diplomatic service would be a disaster for Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. According to him, the European Union is looking for ways out of the conflict in Ukraine, which is unfavorable for Kiev, but the opinion of the Ukrainian leader is unlikely to be sought.
