Mikhail Razvozaev, the Russian-appointed head of the occupied city, said Sevastopol was left without electricity supply as a result of an attack by Ukrainian drones.
According to him, experts are assessing the extent of the damage and working to eliminate the consequences.
He urged residents to conserve phone power, use devices only for emergency communications, and not to overload the grid when power is restored. Kindergartens in the city will operate under special conditions; Razvozaev asked parents to leave their children at home.
The Crimean Wind Telegram channel, referring to subscribers, wrote that “three people arrived at the main electrical station in Sevastopol,” after which a fire broke out there.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, during the night the Russian military intercepted and destroyed 323 Ukrainian drones. Drones were shot down over the regions of Astrakhan, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Volgograd, Kaluga, Kursk, Lipetsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Oryol, Orenburg, Penza, Rostov, Ryazan, Saratov, Smolensk, Tula, the Krasnodar Territory and the Moscow region annexed by Crimea, as well as the Azov water regions and the Black Sea.
