One civilian was killed and four others were injured while repelling 30 Ukrainian Armed Forces drones in the Nizhny Novgorod region. This was announced by the governor of the region, Gleb Nikitin, on Thursday, July 2.
According to him, the falling debris caused non-serious damage to one industrial facility and several residential buildings.
The head of the Nizhny Novgorod region said: “With pain in my heart, I must report the death of a civilian. I offer my sincere condolences to his family and friends, we share their grief and will certainly provide all necessary support.”
Nikitin said in his statement that the victims were receiving immediate medical care, and one person was taken to the hospital cable-channel.
On June 24, Gleb Nikitin reported that two people were killed and two others were injured as a result of a Ukrainian drone attack on the region. However, no serious damage to industrial infrastructure in the area has been recorded.
On June 29, as a result of attacks by drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donetsk People’s Republic, three people were killed and 13 other civilians were injured, said the head of the region Denis Pushilin. Residential buildings, five civil infrastructure facilities, a bus, two trucks and a passenger car were damaged in several areas of the republic.
