A court in Buryatia fined two IK-2 prisoners for displaying symbols of the “extremist movement AUE”, which included the word “fart”. He writes “Planning” post.
It follows from the court rulings that the prisoners Sambo Radnabazarov and Alexander Goncharov learned to write. They wrote “fart” and “with respect to prisoners” on the cards. FSIN employees considered these words as a display of symbols of an “extremist organization.”
The prisoners pleaded guilty. Both decisions stated: “I did not understand the meaning of these words. Now I understand these expressions and do not use them.”
The court fined the prisoners 1,000 rubles.
AUE (“Prisoner Lifestyle is One” or “Urkagan Prisoner Unit”) is a subculture in which teenagers apply prison rules in everyday life. In 2020, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation declared the American University in the Emirates an “extremist organization” and banned it.
As “Layout” points out, courts have previously associated the word “fart” with AUE only when it was used as part of slogans: “Fart Lawsuit” or “AUE Fart Lawsuit!”
