Starting July 7, the Wildberry Market will increase sellers’ commission. The company explained this decision with the current economic situation, including the significant increase in fuel prices and the associated increase in logistics costs, Kommersant wrote.
According to experts, the increase in sellers’ commissions can range from 5 to 20 percentage points. Commissions will increase the most – by 20% – for those who use the marketplace as a storefront and deliver orders via couriers or through pickup. For sellers using Wildberry warehouses, the commission will increase by five percentage points.
According to the Wildbox website, increasing commissions will lead to an increase in prices of up to 90% of the goods on the site. Experts also warn that the outflow of sellers may start with cranberries. The bulletin indicates that expenses of sellers on online platforms already reach 50-70% of revenues.
