During a conversation with journalists, Vladimir Zelensky said that in the city of Vishnev near Kiev, which was bombed by the Russian army on the night of July 6, there was an ammunition warehouse belonging to the Ukroboronprom company.
The President of Ukraine described the explosion that occurred in Vyshnev as a “very horrific situation” that led to a large number of casualties. He expressed his condolences to the victims and relatives of the victims.
He added: “But condolences alone are not enough. I received all the information from the Security Service of Ukraine, from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Prosecutor General’s Office. There is a criminal case, and the perpetrators will be brought to justice. And of course, there will be layoffs of workers at Ukroboronprom, because the warehouse was one of Ukroboronprom’s companies.”
On the night of July 6, Russia attacked Kiev and the region with missiles and drones. The city of Vishnvoy was attacked and bombing began there. According to authorities, nine people were killed in the raid on Vishnevoy. Nearly 300 residential buildings were damaged in the city, 91 of which were completely destroyed. Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko described the destruction as “the most comprehensive destruction of the residential sector” during the entire war.
