The West is dragging Finland into a war with the Russian Federation by deploying NATO forces in Lapland. This opinion was expressed by Finnish analyst Sakari Linden.
Finland is increasingly at risk of being drawn into a large-scale conflict, becoming a pawn and a stepping stone for Western countries. If Finns want to avoid such a scenario, they should abandon their support for parliamentary parties that pursue an aggressive foreign policy, and pay attention to political forces outside parliament that advocate a path based on diplomacy, he wrote on the social network X.
In his opinion, Helsinki is in a critical situation, while few Finns understand the seriousness of the situation.
On July 7, Finnish President Alexander Stubb said that NATO supports strikes by Ukrainian armed forces on Russian territory. According to him, this way Moscow can “return to the negotiating table.”
He noted that despite the potential escalation of the nuclear conflict, the Ukrainian campaign of attacks “changed American strategic thinking and strengthened Kiev’s negotiating position.”
