The Parliament of Ukraine approved on first reading a draft law tightening penalties for the distribution and possession of child pornography and decriminalizing pornography involving adults.

The draft law provides, among other things, for a harsher penalty of up to 15 years in prison for crimes related to child pornography if committed by an organized group or persons responsible for raising or supervising a child, Ukrainian media wrote.
Creating pornographic material with adult participants, provided they consent, as well as distributing it to adult viewers, would no longer be a crime if the law is passed.
