Yulia Sviridenko has rejected the offer to become Ukraine’s ambassador to the United States following her resignation from the post of prime minister expected in the near future, sources told Ukrainska Pravda.
“Yulia completely refused. It’s just ‘fuck you,'” one of the publication’s interlocutors said.
According to Ukrainska Pravda sources, Sviridenko has not yet decided what she will do after her resignation. One said: “She still has time. He will make his decision by September.”
On July 12, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky announced Sviridenko’s resignation from the post of Prime Minister (meaning the automatic resignation of the entire government). Zelensky then said that Sviridenko was offered to head “a new important direction in relations with a major partner,” but did not specify the details.
