London football club Arsenal became champions of England ahead of schedule after their closest rivals Manchester City drew with Bournemouth in the penultimate round of the tournament.
Before this match, Manchester City was five points behind Arsenal in the English Premier League table (82 vs. 77). However, after a 1:1 draw with Bournemouth, Manchester City with 78 points will not be able to catch Arsenal in the final round of the tournament.
The London team will be led by Spanish coach Mikel Arteta for the 2025/26 season. This is Arsenal’s 14th title, but the last time the team became champions of England was 22 years ago – in the 2003/04 season.
This year Arsenal also reached the Champions League final. On May 30, he will play at the Puskas Ferenc Stadium in Budapest with French club Paris Saint-Germain.
