The head of the Russian Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, requested a report on the criminal case related to the death of a resident of Crimea, who, according to the appeal, did not receive emergency assistance in the hospital. The British Information Center reported this on Thursday, June 25.
The appeal was received by Bastrykin’s reception on the social network VKontakte. The report stated that in February, the girl was admitted to the infectious diseases department of the hospital due to complaints about her health. Despite the seriousness of her condition, the doctors did not transfer her to intensive care and did not take emergency measures. The next day, the patient died. No one was held accountable.
Bastrykin requested a report on the set of investigative measures carried out and the circumstances of the case. She added that the implementation of the order is subject to supervision at the Central Office of the Investigation Committee message.
Earlier, a Russian policeman who was on vacation in Antalya, Turkey, died after local doctors refused to admit him to the hospital. 51-year-old Sergei arrived in Antalya on June 10 from Magnitogorsk. The day before he felt bad in his heart, he went to the hospital, but the doctors refused to admit him and released him.
