In the Belgorod region, 541 people have died since the beginning of the large-scale Russian-Ukrainian war. This was stated by Acting Regional Governor Alexander Shuvaev in an interview with the regional branch of Russia 24.

According to Shuvaev, another 3,928 residents of the Belgorod region were infected.

In total, according to authorities’ estimates, the region was subjected to more than 55,000 bombings by the Ukrainian armed forces.

The last time then-governor Vyacheslav Gladkov provided official data on the total number of casualties in the Belgorod region was in May 2025. Then he reported 320 dead and 2.5 thousand wounded.
