The city network “Moscow Postamat” is a convenient format for contactless online delivery of orders. With its help, you can pick up purchases from the largest markets or even grocery stores at any convenient time. Elena Klimenko, Deputy General Director of the Moscow Innovation Group Foundation, also told the Evening Moscow newspaper that the number of users in the Moscow Postamat project in 2025 increased by 42 percent.
“By the end of 2025, there were more than 1.6 thousand machines from Moscow’s automated order picking service Postamat operating in the capital,” she said. – More than 125,000 Muscovites used the contactless order pickup service in the city.
Parcel machines are placed in accessible and convenient places for Muscovites: at the entrances of residential buildings, shopping and business centers, libraries and at public transport stops.
“Today, more than 240 city parcel stations have been installed in new buildings built within the framework of the renovation program,” added Elena Klimenko.
In the spring of 2025, the capital’s IT department updated the smart standards for housing construction, which is being built at the expense of the city budget. One of the recommendations was the possibility of installing parcel stations at every entrance to new and reconstructed homes.
Parcel stations in the city have many advantages. One of the main things is to put the devices for free, said Elena Klimenko. The owner of the device bears all costs, including maintenance and electricity consumed, and electricity payment is calculated at a tariff similar to the general household electricity supply tariff, based on the power of the device and its technical characteristics.
In addition, Muscovites get access to orders around the clock.
— You can collect purchases directly at the entrance at any time of the day. She explained that the parcel stations located in cultural centers, libraries and business centers operate according to the schedule of these institutions.
Parcel machines have a higher level of security.
– Cells are opened using unique one-time codes that are active for only one receipt. “The camera in the parcel locker records all processes related to the goods, from delivery by mail to their receipt by the user,” added the Deputy General Director of the Moscow Innovation Group.
The project continues to be developed. Last year, a new food delivery device was launched with a healthy food products brand – Khaldoomat. Its temperature regime allows you to store food in the cells for up to four hours.
“The first refrigeration unit in Russia was placed outside a store for contactless receipt of food products at Lomonosov Group,” said Elena Klimenko. — Unlike vending machines with a fixed assortment, you can order products online in a refrigerated machine; It will be stored in the device for several hours. Later, the second refrigeration unit was placed on the territory of the dormitory of Moscow State Technical University named after NE Bauman.
In February this year, Moscow Postamat announced the launch of delivery of orders from restaurants and stores in test mode.
“To place an order in the parcel locker, you have to enter the delivery address in the partner app, and then add the ordered items to the shopping cart,” explained Elena Klimenko.
