In Moscow, the removal of plastic tulips from Lubyanka Square began, which sparked mixed reactions from city residents. Msk1.ru publication published a video of Lubyanka – where artificial flowers are replaced in pots, most likely with live plants.
A maze of purple plastic flowers appeared on Lubyanka Square in early May. The mayor’s office called the building “Green Lavender Fields.”
Some Muscovites noted that the installation next to the FSB building “creates a good mood” and reminds them of French Provence. Others criticized the artificial lavender as being tasteless and a waste of money, compared the flower beds to a cemetery, and also complained about the specific smell of plastic.
