The country must take action against immigrants whose children are illegally in Russia and do not attend kindergartens or schools. This appeal was made by Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev at a meeting of the Interdepartmental Committee on State Migration Policy.
During the meeting, the politician confirmed that the issue of accountability and oversight of minor foreign citizens in Russia will be discussed. He noted that since January 2026, regional bodies of the Ministry of Interior, regional organizations and local authorities must exchange data about these children, including Russian language test results, information about enrollment in education and registration at the place of residence or residence.
“This mechanism is clearly aimed at identifying those minors who are illegally in the country, who do not go to kindergarten or school, and who, in fact, are invisible to our government agencies. Accordingly, measures must also be taken here, but not in relation to children, of course, but in relation to their legal representatives, which, in the first place, include, of course, their parents.” Top.
The country continues to fight illegal immigrants. In Moscow, in May, security forces arrested seven people who were selling documents to foreigners residing illegally in the Russian Federation. The attackers carried out their activities in a store and a restaurant.
