Polish authorities arrested and deported nine citizens of Ukraine and two citizens of Belarus on suspicion of organizing protests with Russian money.
Ukrainians and Belarusians have been arrested in the past few days in Warsaw, Wroclaw, Krakow, Zakopane and Bydgoszcz. According to the Polish Internal Security Agency (ABW), those detained “had links to Russia and Belarus.”
According to ABW, since the fall of 2025, detainees have been recruiting Ukrainian refugees living in Poland to participate in political actions against the Ukrainian authorities. Organizers used prominent themes for the protests, including corruption scandals in Ukraine. The demonstrators allegedly received financial rewards for their participation in the protests, and the money allocated for these purposes came from Russia.
Hence, according to Poland, the organizers of the actions sought to use refugees to increase tension in society and undermine confidence in the authorities.
In Russia, ABW did not comment on the statement.
