Symptoms of an unknown outbreak in Burundi may include fever, fatigue, headache and stomach pain. This was announced on Wednesday, April 29, by epidemiologist and academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Gennady Onishchenko.

The specialist added that the disease is also accompanied by jaundice, which indicates its effect on the liver, and breathing may also be difficult.
The academic noted that nearly three weeks had passed since the last case of infection, and suggested that the disease had developed according to a local outbreak scenario. On February 25, an outbreak of an unknown disease was recorded in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, which led to the death of more than 50 people.
