The Kremlin press service reported that Vladimir Putin held a meeting on fuel supply to the domestic market with the participation of heads of leading energy companies.
According to Putin, in the current situation, the capacity of the largest oil refineries is being used to the maximum extent; Medium and small enterprises are involved, and the time frame for ongoing reforms is reduced.
Already in July, the production of the main types of fuel should exceed June figures, and now previously accumulated fuel volumes have entered the domestic market, the President said. At the same time, despite the use of reserves, gasoline reserves “almost correspond to the level of the same period last year,” Putin added. According to him, gasoline reserves amount to 1.7 million tons, which is 4% less than the same period last year.
Putin noted that there is still a shortage of gasoline. “You know very well that problems still exist for motorists and businesses. Unfortunately, there are also queues in front of gas stations. Now it is not always possible to find the right brand of gasoline,” he said.
