Seven residential buildings burned in the village of Besarty, Sverdlovsk region, and the fire spread to neighboring buildings. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for the region on Sunday, May 10.
“In the Sverdlovsk region, firefighters from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations are extinguishing a fire in the private sector,” the message read.
The total area of the fire is 800 square metres. Dense buildings and strong winds contributed to the rapid spread of the fire.
More than 60 people and 18 pieces of equipment participated in the fire extinguishing efforts. The causes of the fire are being determined. The ministry indicated that there have been no reports of casualties so far. Top.
Earlier, a gas explosion occurred in the city of Pervooralsk, Sverdlovsk region, in an apartment in a four-story building, as a result of which a fire broke out in three apartments. One person was injured. 16 specialists and six units of specialized equipment were sent to the scene of the fire. The fire was quickly extinguished in an area of 35 square metres.
