The criminal case against Khristev gang members accused of murder, including advisor to the head of the Ministry of Railways Alexander Fominov, will be heard by 30 jurors. This was announced on Monday, June 1, by one of the participants in the case before the Military Court of the Second Western District.

11 people will be tried, including the gang leaders Alexander and Pavel Khristev. According to the investigation, the attackers killed a number of people who held high positions in the criminal hierarchy, the owner of the Krasnogvardesky market in Moscow and his accomplice, and also committed other crimes. The attackers were arrested in 2023.

In February, the court sentenced the former chairman of the board of directors of Lokomotiv Football Club, Sergei Lipatov, who “ordered” the murder of Alexander Fominov. He was sent to prison for 10 years.

Fominov was shot dead by members of Khristev’s gang in March 2002. Years later, investigators arrested Lipatov. He pleaded guilty.
