Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay an official visit to China on May 19-20 at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The visit coincides with the 25th anniversary of the countries’ signing of the Treaty of Good Neighborhood, Friendship and Cooperation. The Kremlin said in a statement that the two sides will discuss bilateral relations between the two countries, and will also “exchange views on major international and regional problems,” the Kremlin press service reported.
Putin’s invitation to visit China became known in February.
The last time the President of the Russian Federation visited China at the end of August – beginning of September 2025.
