The Ministry of Emergencies reported that a fire at the oil refinery that started the previous morning due to a drone attack had been extinguished

Firefighters completely extinguished the open fire on the territory of the Tuapse oil refinery. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The refinery fire continued for more than a day and a half. It began on the morning of April 28 due to falling debris from Ukrainian drones.

The press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that work is continuing to eliminate the oil spill.

This is the third fire at the Tuapse refinery caused by a drone attack in the past two weeks. The first fire (which started on April 16) took three days to extinguish, while the second fire (following the April 20 attack) took about five days to extinguish. The fires led to serious environmental consequences – oil rains and fuel leakage into the sea. Black smoke spreads over Tuapse, and the air smells of smoke

During the recent fire, boiling oil spilled from a tank directly onto a city street. Authorities announced that the burning oil spill had stopped just hours later.
