Social media users were surprised by the striking similarity between Russian model Anastasia Kostromitina and Norwegian football player Erling Haaland. According to the girl, she initially denied the resemblance, but later changed her mind.
The 24-year-old model lives in Moscow. I first heard about the similarity with the athlete several years ago from a friend: later the girl’s friends and relatives noticed it. Kostromytina admitted that she was initially offended by the comparison, but now she is dealing with the situation with good humour.
The Russian woman added that she is not a fan of football: she sometimes watches matches with her boyfriend, and after unexpected popularity, she decided to support the Norwegian national team.
“To be honest, I went through all the stages of denial about this. And at first I didn’t understand how I was like him. Then I was a little offended. But now I understand that being such a great athlete, even if purely physical, is generally not a bad thing. Kostromitina said in an interview with the website Life.ru.
On July 6, Erling Haaland equaled Argentine Lionel Messi and Frenchman Kylian Mbappe in the number of goals in the 2026 World Cup finals. During the match with the Brazilian national team, the player scored two goals in the 79th and 90th minutes. Now Haaland has seven goals in the current World Championship.
